Real Tax Reform

Lately it has become, once again, popular to discuss tax reform. Even to talk about real tax change.

The plans offered thus far appear to make the attempt of establishing a fair(er) system than the current one.

Gov. Perry's plan of leaving the current tax structure intact as an alternative to his proposed flat tax with limited exemptions is both an improvement and inferior to the classic flat tax that gained notoriety when Steve Forbes made it a centerpiece of his Presidential campaign in 1988.

Gov. Romney has a plan that can only be described as nearly complex as the current tax code itself.

Then there is the plan advanced by the indomitable Herman Cain. Or rather plans. First there was the 9-9-9; his attempt at dragging the Country, kicking and screaming, into "The Fair Tax". When it was repeatedly pointed out that he was eliminating the majority of Americans from his voting bloc he adjusted it to become a 9-0-9 plan. By removing the personal income tax from his combo platter of corporate-personal income-national sales taxes he must have figured he got those voters back.
What he has still got very wrong, along with ALL of "The Fair Tax" backers is simply this: A National Sales Tax requires two things: A National Taxing Authority and the imposition of the National Government into all transactions whether they are interstate or intrastate.
Put plainly, there will be no end to the IRS and they will be in every part of every interaction in every State, County and Parish. There will be the final nail in the coffin as we bury our Federal Government. States will be as meaningless as sex without love. A National Government will come to the fore as brutal as Mary Shelley's nightmare.

What the backers of "The Fair Tax" do have right, very right, is the need to end for all time a tax on personal income.

So, I propose, and wonder who else sees this as a viable option, a 12/20-0-0 plan, if you will.

NO personal income tax. NO national sales tax. A tax on consumption is still there because as all right-minded persons know corporations pay no taxes. Corporations pass taxes onto their consumers.

Corporations making $50,000 or less in income are liable for a 12% tax, above $50,000 a 20% tax.
Both rates are below the current levels and are below the levels of many other nations as well. A situation which has the potential to bring manufacturing to these United States.

A new tax structure is part 2 of the needed fiscal plan. Part 1 is a vast reduction in spending on the Federal level. Which can be done by eliminating several Federal agencies including some Cabinet Departments. In other words restore The Constitution. From there I propose a modest 20% cut in Defense Department spending and a 30% cut in all other remaining Federal expenditures.

Not That There Is Any Real Surprise

But if there was a lack of evidence that we as a nation are in dire straits, one look at this will be enough.

Over 50 % of voters that call themselves Republicans consider Health Care, The Financial System(whatever that means) and Energy as important issues in the upcoming Congressional election. We all expect, and receive, that type of un-Constitutional feeling from Democrats. Now it is plain to see that Republicans feel that way too, and are also unworthy of the franchise.

More than one radio talker makes a good living spouting the thoughtless statement "it is time to take back the Republican Party". Take it back from whom, exactly ? This is not just a bunch of corrupt men at the top. Nor is it a bunch of good minded men that were corrupted by the system. This is the Republican Party. If you dream of, wish for and want an America that you claim to want; one with the ideals of the founders and the vigor of those that built her to greatness, then speak the truth to all. The Republican Party and the Democrat Party are one and the same.

They may differ on how fast we achieve Socialism, but they are both taking us there.

The Cabal Pushing For The End Of U.S. Sovereignity Gets Their Latest Effort Through Committee

Of course there is a conspiracy in The Senate to do this. Old Dickie "The Dirtbin" "Turban" couldn't do this alone. Would that it were the lonely idiot himself.

No this needed the unhinged Sen. Pat Leahy's help. Who as chair or The Senate Judiciary Committee had no qualms about pushing a pet of his through.

Even the use of nuclear weapons in retaliation would be considered to be a "Crime Against Humanity".

Apparently crying Nazi and Raaaaacist aren't enough anymore the left has dialed up the rhetoric to "Crime Against Humanity".

I wonder if there is a corollary to Godwin's Law that covers this.

Need any more reasons to vote out incumbents ?

Please come back Jack Ryan !

When The Left Speaks Slowly It Is Because They Cannot Think Very Quickly

Too bad for them they cannot think very well either.
By far the greatest outcry against the "evil corporation" following the West Virginia mining disaster has been by Progressive/Socialists.
One brainiac went so far as to say that if there were 15-20 Wall Street brokers dying every year or that same number of political radio commenters were suffering horrible deaths there would certainly be a call to do something. He spoke this nonsense in a slow thoughtful cadence that surely was meant to give the listener a sense of how profound he was.
He forgets, as they all do, that there is a far greater danger involved with going underground than sitting behind a computer screen and/or a microphone.

However, I am completely unable to understand how these very same clowns that are calling for criminal investigations of Massey Energy can stand four-square against parental notification, become indignant when legislators pass laws requiring full disclosure of all medical facts regarding the fetus and cry foul when clear-headed, right-thinking lovers of all human life wish to protect our pre-born brothers and sisters.

Using language condemning Massey Energy specifically, and all large corporations generally, for putting profit ahead of human life these same self-professed nurturers of all things good have no anger towards the profits raised by Planned Parenthood generally, and any abortion mill specifically, directly due to the destruction of human life.

One day Americans will, I pray, wake up to this cognitive dissonance, at best, in the culture and in themselves.

Just A Little Reminder For All Of The Fair-Tax Fans Of The Insanity Of Keeping The I.R.S. Infrastructure For Their Beloved Prebate

When they impose "the one-child policy" all that will be required is the use of the I.R.S.

With the simple ruse of imposing a tax every single one of our "rights" evaporate.

As we approach the 100th Anniversary of the monstrosity of The 16th Amendment's Income Tax, keep in mind that a large portion of the the fanfare surrounding this 0bama "Health" "Care" "Reform" law is how it took nearly 100 years to get it done.

I can hardly wait to see how the Progressives/Socialists celebrate that anniversary.

Funny Thing About Names

Michael Savage has on occasion said that there is a correlation between the spelling and/or sound of your name and the kind of person you are.

Rep. Stupak has achieved his great fame, especially of late, due to his being stupid enough to believe that people have no access to his prior speeches.

What is truly sad is that this was kept so under wraps that he had been awarded a "Defender of Life" by the Susan B. Anthony list. Only his reaction to the awarded being rescinded was sadder as he claimed that "I stood on my principle. I don't need an award." Some principles there Rep. Stupak.

New Medical Guidelines For The Next Generation

If they survive until birth.

Because the Congress is insistent upon taking our money to seek their destruction.

Ghouls. That is what currently is the Democrat Party.

The Party of Annihilation.

To think that calling the Republican Party the Party of No was supposed to be a bad thing. These ghoulish inhabitants of the Party of Death demand that YOU pay for the destruction of your fellow Americans.

Anyone that continues to call themselves a Democrat while this is their raison d'ĂȘtre is deserving of the (God willing) upcoming forced career.

There Is Absolutely Nothing That Could Go Wrong With This Plan

Some bright light in The United States Senate has that whole immigrant worker taking a job from an American thing all worked out.

Just because companies have been fooled by forged or stolen Social Security numbers is no reason to think that going even further into the depths of government invasion of privacy will not fix everything.

Not All Conspiracies Are A Group Of Powerful Men Sitting Around A Large Table

More likely than not they aren't conspiracies at all.
Rather they are the separate plans of the like-minded.

Here are three stories about ideas that seem to have been arrived at in completely different circumstances at completely different times. Yet, they all go together in a very cohesive manner.

Striking number of obesity risks hit minority kids
Hidden Healthcare Reform Objective: Feds Want to Know Your Number
Planned Parenthood to Open Largest Abortion Business Soon in Houston, Texas

For Those Who Cannot Bring Themselves To Believe In Such Dishonesty

Genius Andrew Breitbart's Big Government brings us this gem, complete with the woman giving us her name as she violates the sanctity of the election (not to mention election laws).

New Math in old Mass.

Sometimes one and one are more than 3 million

It all comes together when you just look at it.

The Democ-rats/Liberals/"Progressives" put out their information packs on what to do before they set out to do it.

Passive-Aggressive Behavior meets Superiority Complex

I couldn't help but wonder if this is an example of Passive-Aggressive behavior.
President pantywaist has been coddled, massaged, manhandled and manipulated his whole life, and now he is trying to get back at his controllers.
He has to show 'em all who is boss. Kind of.
That he is more than willing to submit his country to the humiliation that true subjugation is in his efforts to escape his own feelings of subjugation only points out an even more troubling behavior.
This goes beyond Narcissism. This eclipses Superiority Complexes like a well-timed calling on the sun to be darkened by a time-traveler in a bad Sci-Fi movie.
This has got to be a new Disorder not yet seen by modern psychology.
To put the First Sasquatch in her place, along with countless others perhaps, he is prepared to put the US under Sharia law. That'll get her to shut up, and cover up those hideous "fashions", too.
Why else would 0bama be willing to put some of the worst of our current Gitmo residents into the hotbed of terror-training that Yemen has become ?
Why else would he so embolden Al Qaeda ?
This is Passive-Aggressive on Viagra.

Wait and Watch for a Reaction

As events unfold in Iran, that is all we can do. Will 0bama even refer to the Liberty seeking peoples of Iran, or will it go unspoken of, yet again ?

Wait and watch.........
Watch him forsake more lovers of Liberty

UPDATE: Threedonia points out 0bama spechifying on behalf of the Freedom seeking peoples of Iran

OK, OK if you look for it you can see he really did say something about Iran

Will the rest of the Republicans come around ?

Or, rather more likely, will they just admit that the only thing the Republican Party is interested in is keeping the Republican Party relevant and in power ?

That great bastion of conservative values Newt Gingrich has been supporting another RINO. Yeah BIG SURPRISE.
There is only ONE reason to call yourself a Republican. Instant ballot access.

The real ideas of Republicanism have been put into a box by the Republican Party. Through the actions of their collusion with the Democratic Party they have closed off, for all intents and purposes, any real democratic process of electing anyone that is not ready to toe the RepubliCrat line.

Need a very recent example of GOP selling out ? Look no further than New York State's special election in the 23rd district.
In the middle of the greatest expansion of federal authority in US history, the "Republican" Party has thrown it's full weight into supporting another non-Conservative.

Can we now stop referring to Republicans as Conservatives ?

Just as the Democratic Party left Ronald Reagan, so too has the Republican Party left Ronald Reagan !
If you call yourself a Reagan-anything you too must leave the Republican Party.

To all those that say "if we leave the Republican Party we will never get the Country back to conservative values", I ask, how are we doing so far ?

Thanks again for the ONE McCain worth a damn.

As if Glenn Beck needs my help

Why CBS and/or Katie Couric found a need to interview Glenn Beck is something I cannot answer. There has been little real in depth such research into the stories of the day lately, that I would have imagined any CBS story about Beck would have included the respective writers from Time and Newsweek along with maybe an editor or two from those "magazines" and Keith Olberman.

What a refreshing sign it is to see CBS go to the source.

Alas, the sound bite that has attracted attention is Glenn simply stating his opinion about how the country would be today if the electorate had chosen Sen. McCain over Sen. Obama.

Based on what has transpired in The United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate, before and after the November election, he supposes that the country would have been worse off.

We can get all upset about this attack on a RINO, but, is he right ? Is Mr. Beck's opinion based on a good grasp of fact ?

I absolutely believe he is correct, no matter how much I do not want to believe such a thing !

When Hot Air posted this Glenn Beck: McCain would have been worse for America than Obama their readers showed why they are their readers. Especially jollybird, who commented in very plain language:
Never like voting for the lesser of two evils. But if McCain won, we wouldn’t have the tea parties or the march on DC. Obama is over reaching, it’s waking people up. So i get Glen’s point. Glen also said the conservative movement might have been hindered for many years or ruined if McCain won.

An even better way to see that things would have been worse is given at SI VIS PACEM
...what Glenn Beck was driving towards, if ineloquently. It's the having the crazy old guy in the WH that would have been a huge intractible problem. Perhaps better, Beck ought to have framed his argument by stating that having Obama on the stove-control for the pot of us frogs has it's ideological advantage: Obama and his cluster have turned-up the temperature of the pot so quickly, so high that we frogs are starting to take action. We're not obediently croaking in accordance with Progressive theory.

So, America, and especially you Mr. Levin, I ask one simple thing in response to your being upset at Mr. Beck's statement of opinion:
Are you feeling froggy ?

It is time to stop talking of "Death Panels"

Any reasonable, thinking and sober person knows fully well that in a modern western nation there will never be decisions or guidelines, such as any supposedly being made by "Death Panels".

Continuing to claim such a thing is absurd.

No such developed country would ever sanction a decision or guideline that will allow the death of any living, breathing, post-natal human being !

Oh, wait, scratch that
I mean that would never happen here......

Raaaaacist, fear-monger !

It's a simple news story......

In a simple short paragraph or two the writer could have said all that needs to be said about Rhode Island pursuing political correctness at the expense of historical accuracy. Alas, s/he could not keep from sharing their own Constitutional incompetence.
Banished from the Massachusetts Bay Colony for his unorthodox religious views, minister Roger Williams set out in 1636 and settled at the northern tip of Narragansett Bay, which he called Providence Plantations. Williams founded the first Baptist church in America and became famous for embracing the separation of church and state, a legal principle enshrined in the Bill of Rights a century later.

Yeah, it is enshrined there. A line in a letter from Pres. Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut, and NOWHERE to be found in the Bill of Rights, is enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

It would do all those that claim such an ignorant statement a great deal of good to read the WHOLE letter. Then, maybe, they will all know that what they knew was wrong.
Mr. President

To messers Nehemiah Dodge, Ephraim Robbins, & Stephen S. Nelson a committee of the Danbury Baptist association in the state of Connecticut.

Gentlemen

The affectionate sentiments of esteem & approbation which you are so good as to express towards me, on behalf of the Danbury Baptist association, give me the highest satisfaction. my duties dictate a faithful & zealous pursuit of the interests of my constituents, and in proportion as they are persuaded of my fidelity to those duties, the discharge of them becomes more & more pleasing.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man & his god, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, thus building a wall of separation between church and state. [Congress thus inhibited from acts respecting religion, and the Executive authorised only to execute their acts, I have refrained from presenting even occasional performances of devotion presented indeed legally where an Executive is the legal head of a national church, but subject here, as religious exercises only to the voluntary regulations and discipline of each respective sect.] Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection and blessing of the common Father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves and your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem.

(signed) Thomas Jefferson
Jan.1.1802.

Plainly, Pres, Jefferson was showing that government has no place in religion, and that man has duty to his God and religion, and is obligated to those duties.

Government schools produced what they were designed to produce; lemmings, chattel and sheeple that all spout the official pronouncements of historical facts.
