Today, on his nationally syndicated daily radio show Dennis Miller had on Lt. Col. Oliver North, (I thought) USMC Ret.
Once again he lines up with the "we have to win Afghanistan" crowd.
Too bad he and the rest of that bunch are late. That train already pulled out of the station. And, if recent news is any indication, it was an 0bama approved, Biden endorsed Bullet-Train.
Said Musa is currently in jail, undergoing brutal treatment pending his eventual execution for the horrible crime of professing his Christian Faith ! In Afghanistan - yeah that Afghanistan.
Where we are sending men and women into harm's way under the guise of making them safe for democracy–this is the democracy they want. This, therefore is the government we are spending our blood and treasure to build. One that will kill you for the crime of being Christian !
We have already lost Afghanistan

The Cabal Pushing For The End Of U.S. Sovereignity Gets Their Latest Effort Through Committee
Of course there is a conspiracy in The Senate to do this. Old Dickie "The Dirtbin" "Turban" couldn't do this alone. Would that it were the lonely idiot himself.
No this needed the unhinged Sen. Pat Leahy's help. Who as chair or The Senate Judiciary Committee had no qualms about pushing a pet of his through.
Even the use of nuclear weapons in retaliation would be considered to be a "Crime Against Humanity".
Apparently crying Nazi and Raaaaacist aren't enough anymore the left has dialed up the rhetoric to "Crime Against Humanity".
I wonder if there is a corollary to Godwin's Law that covers this.
Need any more reasons to vote out incumbents ?
Please come back Jack Ryan !

More Good News
There are many calling this the most polarized this Republic has been since The War For Southern Independence.
That is what all you government educated sheep call The Civil War.
With that in mind remember these little feel good facts:
That is what all you government educated sheep call The Civil War.
With that in mind remember these little feel good facts:
During the Civil War, the bureau provided maps annotated with 1860 census data to Union Gen. William T. Sherman, who used them to launch a war not on the Confederacy's army but on its civilian population. The most infamous product of the Census Bureau's assistance was Sherman's march from Atlanta to the sea, a 300-mile swath of looting and destruction that would properly have been labeled a war crime if the Japanese or German armies had done it in World War II.
Not that Sherman lost his table manners: Afterward, he sent a polite note thanking the Census Bureau for its maps and research. ``Without them, I would not have undertaken what was done.'Not that we are anywhere at all near that event. But, even short of all out war on Americans:
Most notoriously, the Census Bureau was at the heart of the internment of 110,000 Japanese Americans (two-thirds of them U.S. citizens) during World War II -- and not at all reluctantly. Within five days of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the bureau had issued three reports using 1940 census data to pinpoint the Japanese-American population by state, city and county.
Eventually, the bureau's statisticians got directly involved. When a new roundup was planned, Census Bureau employees met with Justice Department agents. They ``would lay out on a table various city blocks where the Japanese lived and they would tell me how many were living in each block,'' recalled Tom Clark, then running the Justice Department's alien-control office and later a Supreme Court justice. After that, it was easy for the U.S. Army to conduct house-to-house sweeps.
And if they missed a few, a Census Bureau official said in a 1942 report recently uncovered by historians, ``I would give them further means of checking individuals.'' That is, names. So fill out all of the form. Answer all of the questions. There is no reason to be worried about your information ever being used against you.

Just A Little Reminder For All Of The Fair-Tax Fans Of The Insanity Of Keeping The I.R.S. Infrastructure For Their Beloved Prebate
When they impose "the one-child policy" all that will be required is the use of the I.R.S.
With the simple ruse of imposing a tax every single one of our "rights" evaporate.
As we approach the 100th Anniversary of the monstrosity of The 16th Amendment's Income Tax, keep in mind that a large portion of the the fanfare surrounding this 0bama "Health" "Care" "Reform" law is how it took nearly 100 years to get it done.
I can hardly wait to see how the Progressives/Socialists celebrate that anniversary.

This Governor Just Keeps Improving
Remember they said he campaigned on nothing.
He has been showing his knowledge of governing and budgets since day one.
Now he goes to a level I thought would never again happen, anywhere.
Did President Reagan even reach this level ?

All Y'all Knew It Was Too Good To Be True
Just when we were being told it was safe to go on about our business:
If that doesn't work, there is still the old-fashioned way:
One election of one Senator is a great start, but this is a long uphill battle.
November will only get here if we continue to press our elected representatives every day until they either represent us or are replaced by those that will represent us.
h/t: Pundit And Pundette
Rep. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.), the ranking member of the House Budget Committee, tells National Review Online that House Democrats are planning to use the budget-reconciliation process in order to pass Obamacare. “They’re meeting with each other this weekend to pursue it,” says Ryan. “I’ve spoken with many Democrats and the message is this: They’re not ready to give up. They’ve waited their entire adult lives for this moment, and they aren’t ready to let 100,000 pesky votes in Massachusetts get in the way of fulfilling their destiny. They’ll look at every option and spend the next four or five days figuring it out.”
If that doesn't work, there is still the old-fashioned way:
A group of 25 House Democrats have begun circulating draft proposals for smaller bills that would not include an individual or employer mandate, any new entitlement programs, or a public option to compete with private insurers....

The Constitutional Genius that is Thomas J. DiLorenzo
In response to Glenn Beck's 5 Pledges for Elected Officials, Thomas DiLorenzo gives a solid example of why he stands head, shoulders, and breastplate above this generation's self-professed libertarians who still admire President Lincoln.
First I present you with Mr. Beck's seriously thoughtful and heartfelt 5 pledges:
1) I believe in a balanced budget and therefore will vote for a freeze in government spending until that goal is realized.
2) I believe government should not increase the financial burden on its' citizenry during difficult economic times therefore I will oppose all tax increases until our economy has rebounded.
3) I believe more than four decades of US dependence on foreign oil is a travesty therefore I will support an energy plan that calls for immediately increasing usage of all domestic resources including nuclear energy, natural gas, and coal as necessary.
4) I believe in the sovereignty and security of our country and therefore will support measures to close our borders except for designated immigration points so we will know who is entering and why and I will vehemently oppose any measure giving another country, the United Nations, or any other entity, power over U.S. citizens.
5) I believe the United States of America is the greatest country on earth and therefore will not apologize for policies or actions which have served to free more and feed more people around the world than any other nation on the planet.
Now, I request that you read Thomas J. DiLorenzo's open letter to Glenn Beck in it's entirety, and come to know how profound the differences were between President Jefferson's and President Lincoln's policies and beliefs.

They cheered. Twice.
How sad are the times in which we live.

Oh, yeah, now I get it
The biggest move to increase the size of government in the history of the Republic; the largest expansion of Federal intervention into the economy and the private lives of individual citizens; the most talked about, blogged about and without doubt the reason for the greatest exposure and effort to be in the fore making speeches by the Executive branch -EVER, and all that are in support of it are just keeping quiet because they all no that there is no need to fear it not happening just as the 1000+ page bill HR3200 spells it out
WHEW, I was worried, but, now I can just rest assured that all of the noise is so much manufactured anti-American raaaaacist hate-filled fear-mongering by only just a handful of ne'er do wells who are misguided and out of touch with the mainstream.
Thanks 0-Man, once again you have reassured me that you are beyond unprepared to lead the Greatest Nation God has yet allowed to be run by man.

It is time to stop talking of "Death Panels"
Any reasonable, thinking and sober person knows fully well that in a modern western nation there will never be decisions or guidelines, such as any supposedly being made by "Death Panels".
Continuing to claim such a thing is absurd.
No such developed country would ever sanction a decision or guideline that will allow the death of any living, breathing, post-natal human being !
Oh, wait, scratch that
I mean that would never happen here......
Raaaaacist, fear-monger !

It's For The Children !!!!!
It is impossible for those of a liberal bent to fully separate themselves from fascism.
Now that the American electorate have decided that the empty rhetoric of "Hope and Change" is just what they really want in government, it is time for them to either learn how completely stupid they were and wake up, or, to drag us along with their insidious plans.
Here it comes. From the mouth of another Chicagoan, no less.
Spunky has the best wrap-up
Whenever you hear them say they are putting the best interests of the children first, reach for your wallet, and get to shelter.

In order to qualify for Obama's stimulus money, every state must develop "data infrastructure" mechanisms to track students' education from cradle to college. In his testimony before Congress, Sec. of Ed. Arne Duncan, said
"...states must build data systems that can track student performance from one year to the next, from one school to another, so that those students and their parents know when they are making progress and when they need extra attention. This information must also be put in the hands of educators so they can use it to improve instruction."
This all sounds so noble and good. Who doesn't want to "improve instruction?" But do we really need a federally mandated database to help parents know when their student is making progress?

The Last Post on 'Waterboarding"
For awhile I have been trying to compose a post about "waterboarding" as torture and America's use of it.
To my dismay it has become very long and very involved. I like and appreciate my readers far too much to subject them to it.
Here are far shorter, and very correct, examples of better writing.
First:
Dan McLaughlin at RedState has
Second:
Kyle-Anne Shiver at American Thinker
Now, please, stop using lame "End justifies the means", BS arguments, and discuss real world problems and solutions in an adult manner.

"In other words, Barry Honey, now that I've read the stringent limits under which our CIA folks were forced to operate in the aftermath of 9/11, I'm actually quite stunned that there was such a degree of restraint. The memos actually serve to demonstrate America's exemplary high standards in the realm of dealings with our attackers, not the reverse, as has been put forward by Democrats for the past 8 years."Please read the rest.

The end of all pollutants, in our lifetime, even
It doesn't take a great big leap to get from here to here.
Just replace the signature.
If CO2 emissions are pollution and you are breathing and you cannot afford to pay for the tax, er, I mean trade credit on the pollution that is your breathing, then, when the taxing, er I mean credit trading agency and the healthcare agency are one and the same government, well.....
It is not even a very big step to get from here to here when you remember the thought of you as a polluter just by being alive and read this prescient story

Honest Mistake ? Yeah ! Right !
President-Elect Obama's SecTrez designee, Timothy Geithner, it has been reported, has, in the past, had some tax issues.
The reports have been about how he seemed to have overlooked paying self-employment taxes for money he earned from 2001 to 2004 while in the employ of the International Monetary Fund, according to materials released by the committee Tuesday.
Could happen to anyone.
Breitbart has
Even the very brilliant and wise Judge Joseph Napolitano thinks it is good to have someone in that position that has had troubles with the IRS.
He is probably correct. No, I will go so far as to say, I wholeheartedly agree with him.
But........
all of this stuff is because he "forget" to pay his taxes in an "honest mistake".
The thing is, I heard otherwise today. When I actually checked, I was able to verify that it was known as soon as yesterday that Mr Geithner was told that he had to pay his taxes himself, and signed paperwork to the effect that he knew it, and would do so.
But, there is more
So, knock off the "Honest Mistake" crap, and just answer the damn question,
WHY ?
Not that we need to ask.
It was because it was your money, you earned it and you didn't want to give it away.
Just say so, we all understand.

He paid some of the taxes in 2006, after an IRS audit discovered the discrepancy for taxes paid in 2003 and 2004. But it wasn't until much later—days before Obama tapped him to head Treasury late last year—that Geithner paid back most of the taxes, incurred in 2001 and 2002. He did so after Obama's transition team found that Geithner had made the same tax mistake his first two years at the IMF as the one the IRS found he made during his last two years there.Good thing he had friends looking out for him.

IMF issues several clear guidelines each year for its employees detailing their responsibility to pay all their self-employment taxes, and that Geithner had signed annual statements saying that he would do so. He also had experience dealing with such taxes, the panel noted.

Thoughts while enjoying a drive through the Midwest's latest Global Warming
Not too bad, Al Gore.
You are 1 for 2 on some pretty big things.
But, this whole Global Warming thing just isn't catching fire quite that the other big thing you were on the ground floor on.
After all, no one, and I mean no one can overlook your foresight on that internet thing; now, that really caught on BIG.
But, I am afraid you missed it with this one. Oh, there are some big voices calling out how big this is gonna be. Kinda like when Sony had the better VCR plan with their ßetamax; but that never caught on either.
Another thing that didn't seem to catch on is the whole digital TV thing. Would there really need to be PSA's informing people that they will need a converter for their analog receivers to receive digital signals if those digital TV's were in great demand ?
Even after a Government mandate forced broadcasters to spend money to broadcast in a signal that their customers didn't really want yet. Come to think about it, shouldn't the need for digital TV's have brought about a large push in employment if there was a demand for digital receivers ?
I also heard Gov. Blago intersperse his words of eloquence today with some Kipling. So, I guess we now know for sure that he not only swears, he kiples.
Finally, thanks to Mark Levin, I was able to hear this gem from
H.L. Mencken: (here it is safely kept at Lew Rockwell.com)
Seventy-One years later it still seems as if was written today.

A recession ? Really ?
Now that we have all seen the endless reporting on what the retail industry so poorly refers to as "Black Friday", and heard about how much better it was than was previously thought. Better even than last year. Now we are being told that we are in a recession that is already a year old.
From the time I was learning about the economic conditions and reactions to "The Great Depression" I have been told that the definition of a recession is "The contraction of national economy as seen in the negative growth of GDP in two consecutive quarters".
I have never been informed by any of my educators throughout my whole career as a student that a recession is called by political opinion. Yet, it was just that earlier today.
In the second Quarter of 2008 the GDP grew 2.8%. In the third quarter of 2008 the GDP grew -0.3%.
Since we do not yet have the numbers for the fourth quarter there are not yet two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth.
Has there been a slowing of the economy that has been seen for at least a year ? Yes. Has there been a reduction of consumer spending that has been seen for at least a year ? Maybe.
Have there been two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth ? No. Not yet. There will be. When new guys have control of the numbers.
So, do not put too much stock in government numbers. See for yourself. If you are spending less and saving less because you have less, then no matter what anybody's numbers say it is a recession in your home
But there is reason to call something worse than it is. That way it is harder to look wrong. When it is better than expected, no-one remembers that you were wrong, and when it is that bad you seem prescient and become very popular. Kinda like a Liberal/Progressive. (even the ones with an R by their name)
